Downderry is a popular Cornish seaside village enjoying breathtaking unspoilt coastline & countryside. Good local day-to-day facilities are in abundance at Downderry with a general store, Post Office, traditional inn with lovely sea views and The Rosery Restaurant.
For those who enjoy walking, the famous coastal paths provide plenty of opportunities with nearby Seaton, Looe, Talland Bay & a little further afield to the charming 13th Century harbour at Polperro.
The cliffside paths that run along Downderry afford outstanding views from Rame Head in the East right over to Looe in the West. You'll also discover the stunning wooded walk through the valley to Hessenford just a mile away. There are also many events held in Downderry, such as the raft race & annual carnival.

The Beach House in Downderry, Cornwall is let from Saturday to Saturday, keys are made available from 3.30pm onwards on the first day of your holiday and the property is to be vacated by 10.30am on the last day of your holiday. This holiday property comfortably accommodates 16 guests plus pets by arrangement.
ORIGINAL FEATURES
The Beach House is a beautifully appointed and presented property on the beach. There are a wealth of original features in the property including Victorian Fireplaces, Original Wooden, Tiled and Slate Floors & Restored Original Baths. This magnificent property offers peace and tranquility in a breathtaking setting, yet is only a few minutes walk from the Inns, Bistros, Restaurants and cafes in both Seaton and Downderry, Cornwall. GARDEN TO BEACH
Massive sea view garden on two levels (see photo tour). Top level landscaped with borders, flowers, shrubs, trees and views all the way to Looe Island. Lower level, huge lawn with trees and hedges bordering. Trampoline, Swing Ball. Wooden gate with steps down onto the beach. GATE TO PRIVATE TIMBER-DECKED BARBEQUE TERRACE ON THE BEACH
The gate from the garden leads to wooden steps down onto the beach. At the bottom of the steps is a private raised timber-decked sun terrace and private barbeque area on the beach. There is a wooden shed on this private terrace with patio furniture, chairs and barbeque.
VICTORIAN SEA VIEW TERRACE
At the front of the property there is a large covered Victorian terrace with patio furniture for relaxing and enjoying the magnificent sea views over the rambling landscaped gardens.
GROUND FLOOR
KITCHEN - Large spacious light and airy Kitchen. There are a range of quality fitted units, welsh dresser, double oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and an ample supply of cutlery, crockery and pots & pans. Breakfast table and chairs. Tall Ceiling, Period Features and Natural Slate Floor.
UTILITY ROOM - Off the kitchen is a large utility room with a further range of fitted Units. Large American-Style Fridge/Freezer. Washing Machine. Tumble Dryer. Natural Slate Floor.
FORMAL DINING ROOM - Full of original features including Victorian fireplace (working with logs and coal provided), built in display cabinet, feature light fitting with rose. Dining table and chairs for 10 guests. Views over the gardens to the sea. Tall Ceiling, Period Features and Wooden Floor.
LOUNGE/DINER - Very large lounge incorporating conservatory with views over the gardens to the sea. COAL & LOGS - Provided and included in the rental tariff.
WELCOME PACK - There is a Welcome Pack provided upon arrival.
